A statement from the artist: "Molten glass is the medium I choose to work with because it is very responsive. Every movement of every second affects the glass. The glass blowing process is similar to dancing because I am always moving and responding to my partner, the glass. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in art with an emphasis in photography and glass. I learned and enormous amount of knowledge from the teacher Jack Wax, a famous glass artist. Currently, I opened my own studio in Fort Collins, Colorado."
Dottie features her beautifully crafted blown glass work in our gallery, including olive oil bottles, hummingbird feeders, ornaments, vases, and various vessels.
